I'm not becoming an evangelist for FreeBSD, but thought I would post some links in the interests of promoting thought and education in the YWAM IT network.
I still remember the first copy of RedHat 4.0 and copy of the Linux Bible that I owned in 1995. Linux was still in its infancy and most of the mainstream press had not picked up on it.
On my home test server at www.dmpnet.org, I was occasionally having times when someone would hit it hard with a brute force attack on ssh, ftp or pop3 services. I have my box locked down pretty hard and in a DMZ, but thought I needed to do a bit more.

Paul Hopkins just posted on ywamkb.net his work in doing a small XML feed project that we have been wanting to do some time.
Here's an interesting article on Drupal versus WordPress. I agree mostly with the article, except the bit about multiple users on WordPress.... currently, they are adding a fair bit to WordPress to accommodate this at the expense of other things I wished they would work on!
