So, since my comment seems not to get approved by anyone I'll just try again to post it. Maybe without the hot links or split it in multiple shorter ones.
But I really would like to know under which circumstances a comment doesn't go through automatically.

Greetings from the MatriX,
Alternative Language support.

This script can also be modified to call up different Bible versions and languages.
Just change the biblegateway.com string portion "version=31" to the appropriate language version you want displayed.
version=64 is NIV UK English :-)
version=44 is the Swedish Living Bible
You can find the right number by calling up your favourite version on the Bible Gateway website and then inspect the addressline...

I guess you can also change the monday, tuesday etc to local language somehow but I have not looked for that yet.

Thanks guys for your work on this!!!
Blessings
Mike

Oh, and just one more thing...

I feel a little like Columbo, "Oh, I just have one more question..."

I could be wrong, but I think your leap year code has a small error in it. It looks like you have Feb. 28 listed twice. If I'm right, that can be easily fixed by changing the second Feb. 28 to Feb. 29. Since this is leap year, that might be significant.

Small fix

I tried to implement your script for my site, and I discovered a small problem. In the spirit of GPL, I thought I would make my change known.

You need a "*/" at the end of the third line. Without that, the script won't work at all because it indicates the entire script is commented out.

/* Author: Robert */

Also, again, just so I comply with the GPL, I added a small bit of code to mine to open the links in a new page. Right before the address for Bible Gateway, I added the following code: target="_blank".

On a side note, this is my first GPL code contribution. Normally, I don't know enough about coding to be able to contribute, but this I could.

Sorry for the downtime!

Hi All,

Our appologies for the downtime. Our hosting service had to do an emergency reinstall and update because of a major attack on linux servers around the world. Unfortunately the sites we have are some of the ones hit hardest by this and not everything could be recovered. Thanks to Q for his hard work in getting everything back up and running.

10 User Complaints about IT Support

Here is another good article about IT support.

10 User Complaints about IT Support

You might need to register to view the article, but TechRepublic is a good site for information about IT so it would be worth registering.

Example

A best Practice is anything basically a way of showing how to achieve a certain task i.e. a mail merge but it can also bring uniformity to the task, and hence make it easier to work on a wider scale. I hope you understand what I am getting at - I realise I am not the best with written word!!
I had intended to put a couple up there at the weekend - cause time is short now. However an example would be to write the steps down to mail merge a letter in Word from contacts in outlook:
Step 1: After you have written the letter go to Tools, Letters and Mailings and then Mail Merge.
Step2: Choose the Type of document you are merging
Step 3: Choose the contact list you are merging into the letter. To do this click.... etc

If screen shots help this then it is worth putting them in. Sorry I have not put any in the book yet - we are in meetings 9-5 all week and then I work in the evenings so I will have to wait until the weekend!!!

What is best practice?

Hey David, I love the idea, but I am a bit stuck. I am not really sure what a "best practice" is? An example "best practice" would be nice.
