I stumbled across this blog Seven Different Linux/BSD Firewalls Reviewed. I agree with a lot of their conclusions because I have studied most of these myself and concluded that PFSense was one of the best.
With PFSense I currently have a green zone (LAN), blue zone (wireless), and an orange zone (DMZ). OpenVPN is awesome and PFSense is one of the few software firewalls that will allow me to use Public IP addresses in the DMZ.
All of these firewalls are great and worth a looksie.
