your medical information stored at google

Google has just released its service to store your medical information on their servers. So, you can have access to that information at any time from anywhere, well if you have internet access that is. You can give your medical records to doctors and clinics without dragging around tons of paper work and x-rays, etc. Sounds nice, so far.

password or jail - your choice

Either you give me your password or you enjoy up to 5 years in jail - what's your choice? Impossible, you think? No, it's a law. But only maybe in a very restrictive country. Sorry, no, that's in Great Britain. Believe it or not.

Here is the article at Heise Security News.

Is programming from the devil? ;-)

That's what my friend in Holland thought who is on staff with YWAM there. Although I never thought that myself, I have always struggled with the concept that programming isn't really a ministry... it's just my "day job". It seems that it's not the truth & that God is calling us who are programmers to use that skill for His kingdom. Computers in God's kingdom? What? I don't know... but it seems there may be something to that. When I was at CRIT in Harpenden, England back in May, Chong Ho spoke about his passion to see God raise up IT Missionaries... & just like the jet airplane was the revolution for missions back in the 60's, so IT is going to revolutionize missions even further now in the 21st century.

What is Illegal Software

In our poll about illegal software usage a few people have asked the question "What is illegal software?"  So I will attempt to point people in the right direction for that.

There are two good web-sites that I found that explain what illegal software is.  I'll have links to those sites at the bottom of this post.

Software Integrity

Okay, so I am tired of people in IT positions deciding that it is OK to steal software. ie: buy one version of MS Office and then use it on all their computers. Or find ripped software of any kind and use it. I have heard the term "blessing from God" in relation to this stuff too many times. Just because we are Christians doesnt give us any right to steal, or just because the company makes millions of dollars doesnt make it right to take from them.
