Xmeeting. Ekiga and H323

Hey! I've been testing some OpenSource and Free software for using with Videoconferencing equipment and I was wondering if someone here have tested, tried or successfully used any of the following software.
Xmeeting - for Mac computers
Ekiga - Formerly known as Gnome Meeting ( for Linux and has a beta for Windows)
If you have used or want to try it and post some comments it would be greatly appreciated...
Also if you know of any other H323 (Video Enabled) software could you please post it here.
Thanks!

JAJAH - has anyone tested it?

I think I vaguely remember when the service first started, but I did not pay much attention.

The iPhone Rocks the Planet

Well it's cool and sexy, but what will the iPhone do to the future of telecommunication? I just love it when companies come out with new and amazing techologies that make our lives so much easier, and then don't sell them for another six months! NOT! Apple is very good at this, but to be fair they do keep the rest of the computer and digital communication companies scrambling to "catch up" with the results of their R and D investment. I like the iPhone and I probably will buy one, but the most interesting thing to me is what kind of reaction this is going to create among the top mobile smart phone corporations! I would have loved to be a fly on the corporate strategy room walls when the iPhone was revealed. I bet their were a few explatives, and shouts to "...quick, pull out that technology that we were going to release in two years! Blankity, blank, blank that Apple...". Well, what do you guys think? Are you ready to throw away your blackberries, Treos, or O2s?

skype poll

Hi,

I miss one option in the poll about Skype. We use it on office computers for interoffice communication but also for communication outside the office. Not forget to mention that I'm sitting in a smaller office outside the base, cause there is not enough space for all of us. In fact we have 2 offices outside the main campus.

What is the future and how do we gear up for it??

I have spent a bit of time thinking forward, it is not something we often get a chance to do in YWAM IT as we are spending a lot of time playing catch up. My thinking was aimed towards trying to picture what will the world look like in 10 years, brace yourself cause here is what I have come up with....
