Create a dynamic blog roll

Unless you have been asleep or have had your head buried under internet sand, you would know about blogrolls. Blogrolls are a fun way to figure out what someone is reading and also find other people/entities on the net.

Wordpress 2.2.2

This is my last day of holiday, so I doubt you will see many posts from me in the coming weeks! Great thing about a holiday is that you spend a lot of time reading which you wouldn't have time otherwise.

E-Newsletter Engine

I've been asked by several people if I know of a good OpenSource (free) E-Newsletter engine. Well I've been using for myself a self-hacked plugin for wordpress, which I can live with for my personal blog but if I want to implement something bigger, like a ministry newsletter, I would like to have something more robust and user friendly.

I'm just about to try and develop one, but before I head into this I thought it would be a good idea to ask you guys, because maybe there's something really good out there that everyone uses and I'm still in the dark about it..

Tiny MCE on Wordpress

I was trying to hack Tiny MCE in wordpress, well first I tried installing pluggins that would add a feel more options to the Richtext editor but no sucess, than I decided to try something for myself… well I managed to add formating / font selection / font size selection / bgcolor sel / font color sel / hr (horizontal bar) / cut / copy / past / justify full… so I’m quite happy now, but still trying to add the table controls to it. I thought I would blog it here so it may help someone else.

Good Review on Wordpress 2.0

I saw a great review on Wordpress 2.0 at NewsForge

My on take on it...

I have been using WordPress 2.0 since boxing day. At first, it was not that impressive over 1.5.x  This is probably largely because the old version was so good anyhow. Yet as I have used it a bit more, here are some of the things that I like about it:

More on WordPress

I have been checking out the new version of WordPress and thought you might enjoy reading the following blog.  I agree with what he has written and particularly the bit he wrote about tinyMCE. I am really trying to like the editor, but really find it causes more grief than good if you want to do something other than standard text input.
